摘　　要：本文是对系统功能语言学研究方法论的粗略探讨。文章从以下几个方面讨论系统功能语言学的研究方法:普通研究、适用研究、实用研究、互补与整合、个别描写与普通描写。本文的意义在于从方法论的角度揭示和解释系统功能语言学对社会符号系统的描写和解释。文章认为,系统功能语言学的研究方法论是为系统功能语言学的终极目标服务的,即建立功能语义学,从而实现对意义的普通描写。Focusing on the nature of Systemic Functional Linguistics,this paper discusses its methodology by highlighting the concepts of general linguistics,applicable linguistics versus practical linguistics,complementarity versus integration and general description versus particular description.It intends to shed light on the comprehension and interpretation of Systemic Functional Linguistics as a theory working towards the description and interpretation of social semiotic systems.The authors argue that the methodology of Systemic Functional Linguistics has to be in line with its objective,i.e.the construction of functional semantics for the ultimate purpose of a general description of meaning.
