摘　　要：现代出版对编辑的素质要求越来越高.一般说,科技期刊的竞争取决于两个因素:一是期刊的学术质量;二是期刊的技术质量.前者取决于学校整体科研水平的高低,而后者则决定于编辑的水平及他们的积极创造性劳动.因此,期刊编辑的素养不仅已成为影响期刊质量的主要因素,更是出版繁荣过程中一项不容忽视的重要工作.The quality culture of editors is higher and higher asked by modern publishing.On the average,competition in periodical of science and technology rest with two factors： the first is academic quality;the second is technical quality.The former rests with high or low level of scientific research for whole university,the latter rests with proficiency and creative work of editors.Therefore,the quality culture of editors for periodical of science and technology are not only major factor of the quality of periodicals,but also a important work in the process of publication.
