摘　　要：历史地理学的研究主题在学科发展史上有过很大改变,研究理论和研究方法也有明显的变化。近年来,许多历史地理研究者开始涉足社会结构、社会变迁、社会控制等历史学和社会学研究领域,对社会学和历史学的一些研究主题给予历史地理学的解释,而一些历史学、社会学、文化学、人类学、民族学等学科的研究者也纷纷涉足历史地理学研究领域,试图从地理环境和人地关系的角度来阐释相关的研究主题。历史地理学已经不仅是一门学科,同时也已成为观察和分析人类社会发展诸问题的方法论。其原因即在于历史地理学研究的核心是人地关系问题,认识问题的角度是地理环境和人类社会的相互作用,表述问题的方法是人地关系在时空二维上的发展过程,这三点对于其他学科的研究都具有积极的借鉴作用。The subject of histo-geographical study went through great changes in the history of development of the discipline, and so did its theory and approach. In recent years, a number of histo-geographical researchers began to get involved in such historical and sociological areas as social structure, social changes and social control and attempted to interpret some historical and sociological issues in terms of histo-geography. Similarly, some historians, sociologists, cultural scholars and ethnographers tried to investigate issues of their own in terms of geographical environment and relationship between men and land. As a result, histo-geography as a traditional discipline has now become a methodology to observing and analyzing issues concerning development of human society.
