摘　　要：TCP协议是TCP/IP协议族中的主要协议之一,同时也是比较复杂的一个协议。正确理解TCP协议的特点和基本原理,对全面掌握计算机网络课程基本概念,进而全面掌握因特网的使用有着重要的意义。文章对TCP协议的面向字节流特性进行了深入探讨,指出了谢希仁编著的《计算机网络》(第五版)中对该问题的论述中存在的问题,并提出了自己的改进意见与作者商榷。transmission control protocol is an important and intricate one of the TCP/IP protocol family. It is important for students to understand and comprehend the characteristics and basic principle of computer net- work and further have an all - around mastery on the Internet. The object - oriented byte stream of TCP is dis- cussed in a deepgoing way, one inexactitude on the object - oriented byte stream of TCP which is discussed in the textbook （（Computer Network〉〉 （the fifth edition ） written by Xie xiren is pointed out, amendments and proposals are put forward to discuss with the author of the book.
