“事由原则”应正名为“相关性原则”--兼论文件“来源”概念的实质

摘　　要：Principles of Pertinence要求依据档案文件的内容主题分类,然而其实质却是以相关事由为依据建立档案文件之间的逻辑联系。故其在中国的译名,应从"事由原则"正名为"相关性原则"。这样做,不仅将更真实地诠释该原则,还将有利于更好地理解"来源原则",从而将所有的以"来源共同性基础上的事由共同性"为据的分类方法,都囊括于来源原则的麾下,除去原来笼罩于它们身上的"事由原则"假面具。Principle of Pertinence shows the requirement for arranging archives in terms of subject content apparently,but its essence is to establish archives logical relationship based on related themes.Therefore,＂事由原则（Principle of Subject）＂,its translation in China now,should be renamed by ＂相关性原则（Pertinent Principle）＂.This will not only be more exactly to interpret Principle of Pertinence,but also help to correctly understand ＂Principle of Provenance＂.Thus all classification methods which belong to ＂common theme based on common provenance＂ could be placed under ＂Principle of Provenance＂,and then ＂事由原则（Principle of Subject）＂ masks which were imposed on them should be removed.
