摘　　要：Beijingers have long had a tradition of tending flowers,raising birds,feeding fish and/or raising crickets to fight. Many Beijingers,especially those who are living in a hutong,are holding to the traditions—even today.In fact, there are several large-scale markets—that sell a variety of flowers,birds, fish and crickets—in Beijing.It is common for locals to drop by and either purchase something or just talk to people who share their hobbies. Beijingers and their seemingly out-of -date hobbies are crucial and irreplaceable aspects of the ancient, yet thriving,city.跟时下流行养猫养狗相比，北京人更喜欢种盆花，遛个鸟，养条鱼，斗个蛐蛐。他们隔三差五的会到花鸟鱼虫市场里逛逛，也许是为买点儿什么回家养着，也许只是为了跟同道中人切磋。皇城根下的北京人带着他们的爱好过着自己恬淡的小日子，给熙熙攘攘的北京凭添几许暖暖的人情味。
