摘　　要：因特网的迅速发展给传统电信网带来了巨大冲击,也使电信界面临通信网未来如何发展的重大课题。本文重点对IP over ATM、IPover SDH和IP over WDM三种技术的特点、利弊得失及适用范围进行了详尽的介绍和分析。此外,文章还介绍了我国网络的发展现状,并在此基础上指出:我国目前应充分利用已投资建设的AMT网络资源,在业务需求尚不十分明朗的情况下,应避免盲目扩大投资。The booming Internet service is impinging violently on the legacy telecom network, and the telecom sector is confronted with the major issue as how to develop the telecom network in the future. The technical features, pros and cons, and scope of applications of IP over ATM, IP over SDH, and IP over WDM are described and analysed indetaie. Furthermore, the status quo of the telecom network development in China are presented, and it is pointed out that China should take advantage of the existing ATM network resources and avoid blind expansion in investment in the case of ambiguous service demands.
