中国持有美国国债规模影响因素的实证分析

摘　　要：中国持有巨额美国国债的问题已经成为中美政治经济关系中的核心议题之一。理论分析表明,中国国内生产总值增长、中美贸易差额扩大、美国国债相对收益率提高、人民币对美元升值等经济因素以及中美双边政治关系对中国持有美国国债的规模都产生影响。基于2001-2009年季度数据的实证分析支持了上述结论。其中中国国内生产总值、中美贸易差额以及美国国债相对收益率这三个经济因素对中国持有美国国债规模的正向影响机制均成立,而人民币对美元升值以及中美双边政治关系的恶化将导致中国持有美国国债规模的缩小。中国持有美国国债的规模决策具备经济和政治的"双重性"。US treasury bonds held by China pose a key issue in the political and economic relationship between the two countries.Theoretical analyses indicate such economic factors as growth of China’s GDP,expansion of China-US trade imbalance,the appreciation of RMB against US dollar and positive yield rate of US treasury bonds all cast a favorable influence on the size of US treasury bonds held by China.As is supported by the quarterly data from 2001 to 2009,there is a positive influential mechanism of the first three economic factors on US treasury bonds held by China;and once RMB revalues and the bilateral political relationship between China and the US deteriorates,the size of US treasury bonds held by China will shrink.China’s decision to buy US treasury bonds is of a dual quality:economic and political.
