Objective: To observe the effects of early treatment on dogs with craniocerebral explosive injury under the field situation. Methods: Thirty mongrel male dogs were randomly divided into control group ( n = 6) , injury group ( n = 12) and treatment group ( n = 12) . The injury group and treatment group were established into models of craniocerebral explosive injury. Respiratory frequency( R) ,heart rate( HR) ,blood pressure( BP) , intracranial pressure ( ICP) ,and the survival time were observed in each group. Results: Compared with pretherapy, the index levels of R,HR,BP in both model groups were decreased significantly after cerebral explosive injury ( P 0. 05) ,however,ICP were increased ( P 0. 01) . The index levels were relieved significantly in the treatment group as compared with that of the injury group ( P 0. 05) . The survival time of the treatment group ( 138. 6 ±8. 0 ) h was significantly longer than that of injury group ( 96. 5 ± 3. 0 ) h ( P 0. 01) . Conclusion: Early proper treatment for craniocerebral explosive injury in dogs can relieve the index levels of R,HR,BP,ICP and prolong the survival time under the field situation.
