摘　　要：对美国七家文献情报机构的实地调研得出如下结论:图书馆有比较清晰的战略规划和发展思路;图书馆有非常健全的业务体系和运行机制;十分突出以用户为中心的服务理念与服务模式;学科馆员在图书馆服务转型中的影响越来越大;十分重视最新技术在图书馆工作中的应用;重视图书馆组织结构调整与文化重构;图书馆联盟的作用正变得日渐突出;图书馆通过创新探索谋求自身的发展。美国同行调研引发的思考和建议是:持续加强图书馆的发展定位与战略规划与设计;进一步加强以用户和服务为中心的业务布局和结构调整;积极改进图书馆的基础业务设施建设;加强信息技术与图书馆业务的融合;加强图书馆统筹协调与协同的能力;加强人员队伍的能力建设与培养。The investigation conclusions include： the libraries have a clear strategic plan and development direction; the libraries have complete business system and operation mechanism; stressing on the user-centered service value and service models; subject librarians are playing more and more important roles in transition of the libraries; stressing on the use of new technology in library work ; stressing on the adjustment of organization and culture re-constructing; library consortia are playing more and more important roles; libraries are developing themselves by innovation and exploration. The thoughts and suggestions from the visit are： continuous planning and designing of library＇s position and development; further development of user-centered business layout and structure adjustment; improving library＇s basic operations and facilities; integrating information technology and library business; improving the capabilities of coordination and collaboration; improving the capabilities and traning.
