摘　　要：以职业为导向,以考查考生医护英语实际应用能力和交际能力为目的的"全国医护英语水平考试(METS)"为全国护理专业在校生、毕业生和在职护理工作者提供专业英语水平的统一评价标准。通过METS考试是考生获得《全国医护英语综合等级证书》的必要条件之一,它和PETS考试有着本质的区别和必然的联系。With the employment as the guidance and testing the examinees＇ medical treatment and nursing English practical application ability and human relations ability,＂Medical English Test System（METS）＂ provides the specialized English proficiency the unification evaluation criteria for the national nursing specialized enrolled student,the graduate and in office nursing worker.Passing the METS test is a must for the examinee to obtain ＂Medical English Integrative Certificate＂.MET has essential differences and inevitable relation with PETS.
