摘　　要：DSP是当今主要的用于数字信号处理的嵌入式平台,随着嵌入式应用的日益广泛和加深越来越多的工作需要DSP芯片与PC机的协同工作,然而DSP芯片往往不能提供足够的URAT接口,因此就需要利用URAT芯片来扩展DSP芯片串口。本文主要讨论了利用TI公司的异步通用接收发器TL16C550扩展DSP串口,实现TMS320C5509与PC机之间的串行通信。本文同样介绍了异步通用接收发器芯片TL16C550的寄存器和相应功能,并且提供了利用TL16C550实现TMS320C5509与PC机串行通信的硬件电路和C语言实现软件编程方法。DSP is a popularly control method which was mainly used in the embedded type system. With the development of embedded type ,the DSP connecting with PC is become more and more important. However, the DSP chip usually can＇t offer the sufficient URAT interface ,so it became necessary to use URAT chip to expand DSP interface. This paper discussed the realization of serial communication between the TMS320C5509 and PC based on TI URAT chip TL16C550, introduced the URAT chip TL16C550＇s register and corresponding function, and also provided hardware circuit which realized the serial communication bettween TMS320C5509 and PC by using TL16C550 and software programed by C language.
