摘　　要：通过紧密结合湘西土家族苗族自治州(湘西州)经济发展的基本概况和旅游产业在湘西州经济发展中所占的地位,基于区域经济发展辐射理论,系统研究了旅游产业对湘西州就业率的提升、产业结构的调整和招商引资中的媒介作用,并就旅游业如何驱动湘西特色经济发展提出建议。Through the basic overview of economic development of Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Western Hunan（referred to as Xiangxi Prefecture） and the status of tourism industry in the economic development of Xiangxi Prefecture,based on the Radiation Theory of regional economic development,this paper systematically studies the media role of tourism industry in promoting the employment rate,adjusting the industrial structure and attracting the investment in Xiangxi Prefecture.Moreover,it proposes the suggestions on how tourism industry will drive the economic development with Western Hunan characteristics.
