Effect of Additives on Microstructure and Properties of Ceramic Coatings Prepared by Centrifugal Self-Propagation High Temperature Synthesis

摘  要:为了改善钢管内衬陶瓷层的韧性,在铝热剂中分别添加ZrO2,Al2O3,SiO2进行改性,采用离心自蔓延高温合成工艺制备了钢管内衬陶瓷层,研究了添加剂对陶瓷层形貌、结构和性能的影响。结果表明:加入ZrO2或Al2O3可以改变陶瓷层的组织结构,使Al2O3由树枝状晶变为等轴晶;加入SiO2可在Al2O3枝晶间隙形成网状Ca2Si化合物,提高陶瓷层的硬度;加入ZrO2可以显著改善陶瓷层的断裂韧性,加入SiO2次之,而加入Al2O3则降低了陶瓷层的断裂韧性。ZrO2,Al2O3 and SiO2 were introduced into thermite to prepare ceramic lining coatings on the inner walls of steel tubes via centrifugal self-propagation high-temperature synthesis(SHS) route.The effect of the additives on the morphology,microstructure and properties of the ceramic coatings was investigated.It was found that ZrO2 or Al2O3 doping caused changes of the microstructure of the ceramic coatings,transforming Al2O3 dendrites into equiaxed crystals.Doping with SiO2 led to formation of net-like Ca2Si at the gaps of Al2O3 dendrites,thereby increasing the hardness of the ceramic coatings.Besides,doping with ZrO2 contributed to significantly increased fracture toughness of the ceramic coatings,followed by doping with SiO2.However,addition of Al2O3 resulted in decrease of the fracture toughness of the ceramic coatings.
