摘　　要：蔡元培是我国近代著名的民主革命家、教育家、改革家。体育思想是蔡元培教育思想的一个重要组成部分,渊源于当时特殊的历史背景及其所生活的时代与教育实践。他的体育思想是一份极为珍贵的历史遗产,对中国近现代体育的发展演变有着不可磨灭的作用,至今仍有积极的启发与借鉴价值。Cai Yuanpei is a well -known democratic revolutionist, oducationist, and reformer in modern China. His idea of physical education, an integral part of his thoughts, was born in a time which owns a unique historical color. His idea of physical education was highly related with the personal practice of his educational ideology. Being a very precious historical heritage, the valuable idea plays a crucial role in the development of modern physical education in China. Up to now it is still an active spring of inspiration and a fountain of valuable reference.
