The Human Capital Factors Affecting New Generation of Migrant Workers' Non-agricultural Earnings——Experience Analysis Based on a Survey in Pearl River Delta

摘  要:本文利用对珠江三角洲961个新生代农民工的调查数据,采用扩展的Mincer工资方程,分析了影响新生代农民工非农收入水平的多种人力资本因素及其影响程度。研究结果表明:培训是影响新生代农民工非农收入水平的最主要因素,接受1个月以上的培训会使新生代农民工非农收入增长11.2%;工作经验每增加1年,新生代农民工非农收入增长8.9%;工作经验的平方与新生代农民工非农收入呈"倒U型"曲线关系;受教育年限对新生代农民工非农收入水平的影响相对较小,每增加1年的正规教育,仅使其非农收入增长2.1%;业余文化支出对新生代农民工非农收入水平的影响很小。本文研究结论解释了现阶段广大农村对基础教育不够重视的根本原因。Using an extended form of Mincer Earnings Equation,this paper examines some human capital factors which have influence on new generation of migrant workers' non-agricultural earnings based on the survey data in Pearl River Delta of Guangdong province.The results show that,train is the most important factor affecting new generation of migrant workers' non-agricultural earnings and the rate of return on train is 11.2%.Moreover,work experience is the second important factor: new generation of migrant workers' non-agricultural earnings increase by 8.9% with each additional service year,and the square of work experience correlates negatively with their non-agricultural earnings.In addition,education is also a notable factor,but the rate of return on education is only 2.1%.Furthermore,the expenditure on cultural activities in spare time has little effect on their earnings.These conclusions can explain why most people ignore basic education in rural China.
