摘　　要：作者考察美国公共图书馆的管理,认为美国公共图书馆管理是不同体制下的图书馆管理。其特征可概括为:以立法为基础宏观的管理;在行业组织指导和规范下的专业化的管理;以公益服务为目的,但讲求实效的企业化管理。After seeing about the management and administration of public libraries in USA, the author believes that they are operated in a different system, which have some distinguishing feature. It can be concluded as all the public libraries having a good law environment of macroscopic management, working under the standard guides of professional organization system, service for all people on free but carrying the commercialized management of stressing practical results.
