This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of feed peptides (FP)on growth performance ,apparent ideal digestibility of essential amino acid (EAA), and digestive enzyme activity of piglets.Ninety six (38±2) day old pigs (DurocxLandraeexLarge Yorkshire)were randomly allocated to four dietary treatments with four replicates. The four treatment diets included one control diets supplemented with 6 % fishmeal (C),diets supplemented with 2 %0 spray-dried plasma protein (SDPP)and 6 % fishmeal (T1),and diets supplemented with 1% and 2 % feed peptides to replace SDPP on protein basis respectively (T2 and T3).At the end of the experiment, one pig of each replicate was slaughtered for the determination of the apparent ideal digestibility of EAA.The results showed that the average daily gain and apparent ideal digestibility of EAA of T1,T2 and T3 were higher than that of C (P 〈 0.05),but the growth performance, apparent ideal digestibility of EAA in T1 ,T2,and T3 had no significant difference(P 〉 0.05).No significant effect was found in digestive enzyme activity due to dietary replacements (P 〉 0.05).In conclusion, the partial replacement SDPP with FP had no adverse effect on growth performance, EAA digestibility and digestive enzyme activity of pigs.
