摘　　要：2005年12月14日,因设计、施工不当,仪器方面的失误和人为失误等众多原因,美国Taum Sauk抽水蓄能电站上水库失事,自此停止运营。主要介绍失事的过程和原因,供参考。A variety of design and construction flaws,instrumentation error,and human errors contributed to a catastrophic failure of the upper reservoir on Dec 14,2005.Ever since,the project has been out of operation.This paper introduced the failure process and cause reasons were analysed,for reference.
