摘　　要：平等的思想源远流长,可以追溯到古希腊"智者"时期。平等是人类文明的基本信条,是政治的核心价值之一。对公民给予平等的关怀,是当今世界各国和国际社会普遍遵循的共同准则;但在当代中国,由于历史的原因所导致的二元社会结构,农民在二元社会结构中长期处于政治、经济、社会等诸多不平等的地位;消除对农民的种种歧视,是统筹城乡发展、构建和谐社会的内在要求和必然选择。The idea of equality has a long history,dating back to ancient Greek ＂wise men＂ period.Equality is a basic tenet of human civilization,one of the core values of the political.Give equal concern to citizens,is the world＇s countries and the international community to follow common guidelines;but in contemporary China,due to historical reasons that led to the dual social structure,social structure and long-term dual farmers in political,economic,unequal social status and many other;to eliminate all discrimination against the farmers,the urban and rural development,an inherent requirement of building a harmonious society and the inevitable choice.
