小波与分形相结合的图像编码方法

摘　　要：小波和分形都是新兴的图像编码方法，它们都突破了基于局域内相关去冗余的传统压缩方法的局限性，而且各有其优点。两种方法的结合，将更加发挥它们的潜力。文中介绍小波和分形结合编码的最新进展，其中重点介绍了PPC方法。Wavelet and fractal are both new image coding methods,they both break the limit of exploiting correlativity in local fields,and each has its merits.They can be combined to compress image more effectively. In this paper.the image coding methods combining fractal with wavelet are investigated.It is found that among them PPC (predictive pyramid coding) method,which uses fractal prediction in wavelet domain performs well.
