摘　　要：在叙述厂单芯片MPEG－2编码LSI开发的驱动力及可能性以后，指出了它的竞争焦点在于降低功耗，而降低功耗的关键是改进运动估测的算法．同时也介绍了单芯片MPEG－2编码LSI的电路构成类别及其开发现状。After describing the driving forces and posibilities of the development of single-chip MPEG-2 encoder LSI, it is noted that the competiton focus of the development is onto the power consumptions reduction by improving the motion estimafion algorvthm as the key solutions. The paper also in troduces the classification of archifecfure of single-chip MPEG-2 encoder LSI as well as its recent status of development.
