摘　　要：三大铁矿石商中离中国最遥远的淡水河谷,通过建立大型船队、码头、分销中心等物流基础设施来弥补短板。The Carajas mine is a true gift from nature, having the world's largest reserve of high quality iron ore. Five days before New Year's Day 2011, Vale CEO Roger Agnelli visited this mine to celebrate the fact that the mine annual iron ore output exceeded 100 million tons in 2010.Of course, Agnelli also had reason to give special thanks to China. Half of the iron ore produced at the mine is shipped to China, and the company plans on increasing this amount in the future.One of the world's top three iron producers. Vale is furthest from China: as such it has gone to great lengths to create good relations with China in an attempt to reduce the costs of shipping. However, it remains unknown whether the company can gel on the good side of the Chinese steel industry.
