摘　　要：美国国会图书馆是目前世界上最大的图书馆，隶属于美国国会，拥有独一无二的世界资源，不仅服务于美国国会和政府，也向社会公众免费开放，如今更是利用网络数字图书馆方式向全球读者服务。文章重点介绍了国会图书馆的服务内容、馆藏建设、数字图书馆项目，以及战略发展计划，最后通过比较提出了针对我国图书馆发展的若干思考。Library of Congress is one of the biggest libraries in the world, with rich unique resources. It not only serves the Congress and Government, but also serves the public readers. Recently, the Library sought new ways of Digital Libraries to serve the whole world through the lntemet. The report mainly introduces the LC＇s resources, services, organization, digital library projects and strategic plans. Comments and suggestions are also given.
