摘　　要：针对当代中国城市居住建设的现状,本文尝试以需求理论的相关知识来认识城市的居住区规划的演变,从个人、社会、生态三个层次的多元需求来分析,提出只有满足多层次多元化的居住需求,才能促进人类居住的和谐发展。在此基础上结合厦门市自古至今居住区演变的实际,探讨并归纳多元需求发展趋势之下厦门市居住区规划的特征。Facing the status of urban residential construction in contemporary China,this article attempts to understand the evolution of residential areas in the city planning by the theory of need.From the analysis of three levels of needs：personal,social,natural,it is sure that meeting diverse living needs,which is in order to promote the harmonious development of human habitation.Based on the actual evolution of residential areas from the past to the present in Xiamen,this article explored and summarized the features from the residential areas of Xiamen under the development trend of diverse living needs.
