Objective To investigate the influencing factors of postmenopausal osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Methods The glucose metabolism, sex hormones and bone mineral density(BMD)data of postmenopausal osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes(T2DM)patients were collected in this study.BMD of one or more parts in subjects less than 2.5 standard deviations(T value)was designate as osteoporosis.Subjects were divided into 2 groups:osteoporosis(OP)group(n=72)and normal bone mineral density(NOP)group(n=70).Glucose metabolism, sex hormones and other indicators of patients were compared between two groups. The multivariate analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of osteoporosis. Results Diabetes duration,BMI,E2 levels of patients in OP group were lower, and age,FSH,LH were higher than the NOP group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The incidence of OP was related with the age, duration, and FSH,LH,E2 levels of patients with diabetes(P0.05).Conclusion Postmenopausal osteoporosis with diabetes mellitus is related with a number of risk factors, including long-term history of diabetes, advanced age,and low E2,postmenopausal osteoporosis prevention should begin as soon as possible.
