摘 要:创伤书写几乎贯穿了南非作家J.M.库切的创作生涯。库切对创伤的关注与他独特的成长经历有关,是后殖民、后现代两股思潮相互碰撞的产物,与20世纪西方文化的创伤情结相映成趣。库切敏锐的目光洞察了南非漫长的种族隔离史遗留下来的创伤记忆,将殖民、反殖民的历史主题与后现代的自由言说精神有机链接,谱写出一系列镶嵌在历史与当下的创伤叙事。创伤气息弥漫在库切作品中,不仅涉及主题与人物塑造,还在小说的意识与结构中融入了创伤的节奏、过程与不确定性。创伤书写对于库切作品研究有着特殊意义。Trauma is a theme that runs throughout Coetzee’s best novels. His obsession with trauma is not only pertinent to his personal experiences and academic background, but also to the historical and cultural context, namely, the impact of postcolonialism and postmodernism. In his re-writing of South African history, Coetzee confronts the traumatic memories of apartheid, exploring the inherent connections between the anti-colonial project of postcolonialism and postmodernism. This paper examines the ways in which trauma has affected Coetzee’s fiction in terms of theme, characterization, and structure, emphasizing that the importance of trauma in Coetzee’s writing should be approached in depth.
