大学开设《中国灾害史》课程刍议

摘　　要：中国自古以来就是一个灾害频繁发生的国家,有的外国学者称中国是"饥荒的国度",中国学者曾经说,一部二十四史,实际上就是一部灾荒史,所以,不了解中国灾害史,就不可能深入了解中国历史。了解中国灾害史最便捷、最能立竿见影的方法就是在大学开设《中国灾害史》课程。China is one of the countries that are most prone to natural disasters.In the course of recorded history,many types of natural disasters have occurred in China,for which many foreign scholars call China ＂a nation of famine＂.In the eyes of Chinese scholars,the classic works of the Twenty-Four Histories are a throng of Chinese disaster-and-famine history.Therefore,one can not expect to understand the Chinese history to the full without knowledge of the history of natural disasters in China.It seems that the most convenient and instantly effective way of familiarizing the public with the history of natural disasters that have occurred in China lies in offering the course of A History of Natural Disasters in China in Chinese colleges and universities.
