摘　　要："占"在训诂上无论是本意还是引申义均无"申报"义项;释"自占年"为"自我申报年龄"与史实和逻辑均滞碍不通。"自占年"是每年八月举行的户口登记、检核的核心程序,以保证役源和税源的准确性,是指"自我核对年龄",是国家人身控制的制度保证。'Zi Zhan Nian' itself means 'to check the age by oneself'.It is a core procedure for household registration and examination so that the nation will collect taxes and corvee force,a system ensuring the nation to control its people.Therefore to explain 'Zi Zhan Nian' as 'declaring one's age' is not logical and does not accord with historical facts.
