摘　　要：在朗讯科技公司贝尔实验室研究的分组话音技术基础上,概述了ATM分组话音的基本技术及实现ATM话音的多种方式,特别给出了相关的具体网络模型与传输技术,并且对在ATM上和IP上传送话音的性能进行了详尽分析,同时给出有关实例和结论,可供新运营者组建多业务平台时参考.全文将分三次连载.Based on the packet voice technology studied by Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, this paper introduces the basic techniques of ATM packet voice, the different methods to implement ATM voice, the related network models and the transmission technologies. The performance of Voice over ATM and Voice over IP are specially analyzed meanwhile some examples and conclusions are presented to give new operators references for the construction of multi - service platform. This paper is published in three instalments.
