摘　　要：高度重视和成功开展民间外交是新中国外交的一大特色,更是新时期中国外交成就的亮点。在建设"和谐世界"、建立国际政治经济新秩序的努力中,民间外交能发挥极其重要的作用。重视发挥民间外交在建设"和谐世界"中的重要作用,既体现了中国人民促进中国的国家利益与世界各国人民的共同利益相结合的美好愿望,也反映了当今世界和当代中国的发展变化对外交工作的新要求,丰富了中国特色社会主义外交理论和实践,发展了马克思主义国际关系理论。It is a major practice of New China＇s diplomacy to attach great importance to and conduct successful implementation of public diplomacy.Non-governmental diplomacy can also play an important role in foreign affairs in building a ＂harmonious world＂ and establish a new international political and economic order.We should bring into full play non-governmental diplomacy in building the ＂harmonious world＂.The important role of non-governmental diplomacy is attributed to its features and advantages.
