摘　　要：采用文献资料研究法,对1902年至1911年《大公报》对现代体育思潮的报道进行梳理、研究,得出此间的《大公报》积极宣传现代体育思想,提倡"尚武强兵"、反对妇女缠足,积极提倡女子参加体育锻炼、鼓励各种体育社团的建立等内容。Based on documentary research,this paper reviews and studies the coverage of modernist trend in sports by Ta Kung Pao in the years from 1902 to 1911.It concludes that Ta Kung Pao has played an active role in promoting modern sports by advocating the idea of ＂revering military skills and making the military powerful＂,encouraging the establishment of sports groups and societies of various kinds,and women＇s participation in physical training,and opposing the practice of foot-binding among Chinese women.
