New Data of Lepidophloios and Lepidodendron in the Late Carboniferous-Early Permian from the Tumd Banner, Inner Mongolia

摘　　要：笔者等对内蒙古土默特旗上石炭统—下二叠统下部的鳞皮木和间鳞鳞木作了研究报道,这两种植物化石在内蒙古系首次发现,尤其是间鳞鳞木叶座各部分结构清晰,以上下叶座间有形成间隔带的鳞片痕为其特征,与其他鳞木不同,考虑作为一个新种予以记载。鳞皮木在国内主要发现于中石炭世,其在内蒙古晚石炭世—早二叠世的发现具重要的意义。Lepidophlmos sp. (PI. Ⅰ-1, Ⅰ-la)This specimen was collected from the Tumd Banner, Inner Mongolia, and is not very well preserved. Leaf-cushions are onion-shaped, and show a spiral arrangement 9~11 mm long, 12 ~14 mm wide; the upper part being acuminate and the basal part obtuse or acuminate, both of the lateral sides rounded. The leaf-scar lies on the basal part of leaf-cushion, narrow rhombic in shape, about 4 mm long, 6 mm wide, close to the basal part of the leaf-cushion. Vascular bundle scar is undistinguished, but there seem to be two pairs of parichnos, nearly rounded, 1 mm in diameter , not level with the vascular bundle scar. Ligular pit is located on top of the leaf cushion, rounded. Others unknown.Horizon and locality: Tumd Banner, Inner Mongolia, Late Carboniferous-Early Permian. No: NMP0001Lepidodendron intervallum sp. nov. (PI. Ⅰ-2, Ⅰ-2a-d)The leaf-cashions are spirally arranged, unequal-sided long hexagonal in shape, 23~24 mm in length and 16 mm in breadth, the lower left angle of the leaf-cashion being acute, the two sides of the leaf angle in arched form, others all obtuse. Leaf scars slightly narrow rhombic in shape, 3~4 mm in length and 7~8 mm in breadth, the upper sides arched and extending, the lower sides concaved slightly. The vascular bundle scar is elliptic in shape, 2 mm in length and 1 mm in breadth, parichnos circular in shape, under 1 mm in diameter , located at located the same level with the vascular bundle scar. The ridge is obvious, the ligular scar indistinctly seen in the upper ridge, but the lower ridge is curved toward the acute angle of the leaf-cushion, close to both sides. There are some irregularly horizontal lines. Between the upper and lower leaf-cushions , there is a scale scar, unequal-sided flat vectangular in shape, 7 mm in length and maximum 3~3. 5 mm in breadth.Horizonal and locality: Tumd Banner, Inner Mongolia, Late Carboniferous-Early Permian.
