摘　　要：桂西粤语调查研究的成果比较单薄,必须加强调查研究。桂西粤语调查研究的意义在于:为粤语面貌的全面认识提供材料;对语言接触研究有理论与实践的意义;可为确定周边方言尤其是桂南平话的归属提供条件,为粤方言分片提供依据;可从中考察桂西粤语所包含的历史文化价值。文章还对桂西粤语的调查研究进行了展望。The fruit of investigation of Cantonese in western Guangxi is relatively weak,thus such studies need strengthening.The significance of such investigation lies in that it can provide material for a full understanding of the Cantonese;it has theoretical and practical significance for research on language contact;it provides conditions for determining the attribution of surrounding dialects,especially Pinghua in Southern Guangxi,and provides the basis for dividing Cantonese dialect;it survey the historical culture values included in Cantonese of western Guangxi.The paper also gives a prospect of investigation of Cantonese in Western Guangxi.
