摘　　要：由中国的地理位置所决定,在当代中国的安全环境中,中国的海洋安全无疑占有越来越重要的分量。西太平洋地区对中国有着重要的地缘战略意义,事关中国的生存和发展,因此,研究中国的海洋安全,宜把西太平洋地区作为一个整体加以研究。当前,中国在西太平洋地区面临着比较严峻的海洋安全形势,中国亟待在西太平洋地区发展自己的海权。Due to China＇s geographical position,China＇s maritime security undoubtedly plays a more and more important role in its contemporary security environment.The Western Pacific Region is essential for the survival and development of China owing to its utmost geostrategic significance.Therefore,when exploring into China＇s maritime security situation,it is advisable to take the Western Pacific Region as an integral whole.Today,China is confronted with grave maritime security challenges in the Western Pacific Region,and the development of sea power of China in the Western Pacific Region is of top priority.
