摘　　要：农民工是一个特殊的社会群体,他们为城市的建设和社会经济的发展做出了积极贡献,但他们的文化素质偏低、文化生活枯燥,严重影响了其生活质量及社会的和谐发展。高校图书馆应适应信息和知识经济社会的发展,拓展其社会教育职能,充分发挥其资源优势,探讨创新的信息服务模式为农民工服务,为提高他们的生活质量和构建和谐社会做贡献。参考文献7。Migrant farmer workers are a special group of people in cities. They play a role in the construction of the cities and the development of the economy. However, with little education and no access to cultural services, they are living a dull life, which leads to a bad impact on the harmony of society. Academic libraries should make good use of their rich information and human resources to ful- fill their function of offering education to people. In this paper, newly - created approaches of information service were put forward to serve migrant farmer workers, which will be greatly helpful to improve their living quality and build up a harmonious society. 7 refs.
