摘　　要：马前子性味苦寒，有大毒、归肝脾二经，有搜风活络，通经散血，清热、消肿、止痛之功效。现代医学研究，含番木鳖碱（土的宁）具有兴备脊髓、延髓和大脑皮质、强化神经的作用。临床用中药经方合马前子治疗，面神经炎、中风后遗症、胃炎、胃下垂、小儿进行性肌营养不良、性功能障碍、类风湿性关节炎疗效显著。Strychnos is cold-natured and poisonous, tastes bitter. It enters into liver and spleen channels, and is effective in activating collaterals, promoting blood flow, dissipating heat,alleviating swelling and relieving pain. According to the modem medical research, strychnos contains strychnine, which has effect in exciting the spinal cord, medulla and cerebral cortex and strengthening the nerves. Used as a clinical theraphy with a TCM prescription, it has significant effects in treating facial paralysis, stroke complications, gastritis, gastroptosis, pediatric progressive muscular dystrophy, sexual dysfunction, rheumatoid arthritis.
