英语专业四、八级测试对英语教学的互动与反拨作用——以理工类院校英语专业教学改革为例  被引量:22

摘  要:本文讨论了英语专业教学大纲与四、八级考试的关系,分析调查了英语专业四、八级考试对专业教学,尤其是理工院校英语专业教学改革的反拨作用。通过访谈、问卷和网上调查发现,四、八级考试对教学和课程改革,尤其是人文课程设置方面有着积极的正向反拨作用。另一方面,论文指出四、八级考试带来的负面效应不能忽视,这根考试"指挥棒"用得好就能促进教学;用得不好,就会适得其反,不利于新时代英语人才的培养。The paper discusses the relationship between the national syllabus and the TEM4/TEM8, and it surveys the washback effect of the tests on the teaching reform, especially at the colleges of science and technology. Through interview, questionnaire and online survey, data were collected from teachers, students, scholars, syllabus and test designers. The result demonstrates that the tests of TEM4/TEM8 have achieved some positive intended washback in that curricular arrangement has been stressed especially in the general knowledge part. On the other hand, the paper points out that the negative side of the tests should not be ignored. TEM4/TEM8 testing is a double-edged sword, and if inappropriately used, it may run counter to the intention of the tests.
