摘　　要：本文综述了多小波变换理论及其在图像处理方面的应用，并展望了它今后的发展。In this paper,we review the multiwavelet theory and its application in image processing,and point out some interesting issues in future research.Our image coding experimental results show that the image coding performances can be improved by taking advantage of the multiwavelet transform.
