摘　　要：名是先秦名学研究的主要对象,它本质上属于语言符号的范畴。但与以表音为特征的印欧语言符号系统不同,作为以表意为特征的汉语言符号系统中的名,并不是象征符号,而是一种图像符号。并且,在表达关系、指称关系上,名也有其不同于印欧语言符号系统的独有特质。'Ming' is the main target of the study of Ming in the period of pre-Qin and it is essentially within the scope of linguistic signs.It is different from the symbol system of Indo-European language which is characterized by the phonetic.In the symbol system of Chinese language which is characterized by the ideographic,'Ming' is an image symbol.Besides,'Ming' is different from Indo-European language sign system in the relationship of reference and relationship of expression.
