摘　　要：中国近代外交转型并非完全是被动的,主导性力量来自内部而非外部,它追求的是现代性而非西方化,并具有超出本土的全球意义。但长期以来国内外学术界对此却存有认识偏差,如不从理论上予以澄清,不惟难以看清这一转型原本具有的积极意义,也会影响到中国外交研究必备的主体意识。Transformation of modern Chinese diplomacy has not been passive completely with the leading force coming from inside rather than from outside,pursuing modernity rather than westernization,and having a sort of global significance beyond its boundary.Nevertheless,for a long time,there exists misconception among domestic and international academic circles.If no clarification is offered theoretically,it will be hard to see clearly the active meaning which the transformation of modern Chinese diplomacy should have.Meanwhile it would possibly affect the subjective consciousness necessary for the research of Chinese diplomacy.
