摘　　要：分析了当今社会对人才和专业的需求形势,回顾了国内外应用化学专业的发展,阐述了应用化学专业的特点、应用化学与化学工程学和化学之间的区别和联系。进而分析了内蒙古科技大学应用化学专业概况、专业特色、师资队伍、科学研究、教学研究、课程设置、实验教学条件等,并且对照高等院校应用化学专业"评估指标体系和评估标准",深刻反思了应用化学专业建设实践中存在的不足,提出了应用化学专业的发展目标和方向。Demand for talents and professional situation in present-day society were analyzed.Development of applied chemistry at home and abroad was reviewed,characteristics of applied chemistry were discussed as well as differences and contact among applied chemistry,chemical engineering and chemistry.Then status of applied chemistry in Inner Mongolia university of science and technology was introduced,such as professional profile,professional characteristics,faculty,scientific research,teaching research,curriculum setting,experimental teaching conditions and so on.Compared with ＂evaluation index system and evaluation standards＂ of applied chemistry in higher learning,some shortages in specialty construction and practice of applied chemistry were analyzed,and development target and direction of applied chemistry were put forward.
