摘　　要：处于祖国西南山地的巴文化,是中华文化系统中的一个重要组成部分,在中华文化的发展史中具有重要的地位和作用。巴人先民是中华民族的源头之一;巴文化是中华文化的一个重要组成部分;巴文字是中华文字的重要源头之一;巴人及其后裔在中华民族的统一和独立中做出过杰出贡献。研究巴文化及其在中国文化发展中的地位和作用,对于我国和谐社会及其和谐文化的构建,具有重要的理论和实践意义。The Ba＇ culture which lies in the southwest upland of China is an important part in Chinese culture.It possesses important status and functions in the development of Chinese culture history.Ba＇ ancestors are one of the sources of Chinese people.Ba＇ culture is an important part in Chinese culture;Ba＇ writing is an important source of the Chinese writing;Ba＇ people and their descendants had made remarkable contributions in the process of Chinese people＇s unity and independence.The research on Ba＇ culture＇s status and function in the development of Chinese culture is very significant to build harmonious society and culture theoretically and practically.
