OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical significance by analyzeing CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells(Treg) in the peripheral blood of patients with bone and joint tuberculosis.METHODS A series of 30 bone and joint tuberculosis patients were detected by flow cytometry with multicolor fluorescence technology for CD4+CD25+ regulator T cells, with 30 healthy persons as control group. The differences were analyzed between types of bone and joint tuberculosis, initial treatment and retreatment.RESULTS The percentage of CD4+CD25+ regulator T cells of bone and joint tuberculosis patients(13.62±3.15)% was significantly higher than that of controls(6.52±1.86)%(P0.01).The difference between initial treatment and retreatment was significant(P0.05).CONCLUSION CD4+CD25+ regulator T cells can be used as indicator of the immune function in bone and joint tuberculosis patients. It is of clinical significance for the observation of immune status, medication and curative effect on bone and joint tuberculosis patients.
