摘　　要：Firebird数据库是一个跨平台的开源关系数据库系统,其嵌入式版本在设计和开发单机中小型业务系统中具有诸多优势和特性。Firebird也是一个全功能、轻量级、免维护、易部署的关系数据库。分析Firebird嵌入式数据库的优势,给出了Firebird数据库在.Net平台上的开发、设计和部署的策略和方法。Firebird database is a cross-platform and open-source relational database system.Its embedded version has many advantages and features in designing the small and medium businesses system with single unit.Firebird is also a full-featured,lightweight,maintenance-free and easy-deploying relational database.In this article we analyse the advantages of Firebird embedded database and propose the methods of developing,designing and deploying the Firebird database on.Net platform.
