论SSCI和A﹠HCI数据库的局限性及其在我国人文学科评价体系的运用

摘　　要：SSCI和A﹠HCI是当前国际人文社会科学领域最具影响力的西文文摘索引数据库,也是人文社科领域学术评价的重要辅助工具。然而,SSCI和A﹠HCI的学术评价辅助功能亦具有局限性,具体表现在收录期刊以英文刊物为主、过度倚重引文统计数据两个方面。SSCI和A﹠HCI在我国学术评价体系的运用,有利于提升我国人文社科研究国际化水平,但在将之作为业绩考评依据之际,有必要对SSCI和A﹠HCI收录期刊及其论文进行具体评析、区别对待。SSCI and A﹠HCI are the most influential citation index databases in the world,and the convenient tools for academic evaluation of the research results in social sciences,arts and humanities.However,there exist two obvious limitations in SSCI and A﹠HCI.One is the fact that most journals selected in the two databases are English ones;the other is that the evaluation function mainly relies on the quantitative data concerning citation.Undoubtedly,the application of SSCI and A﹠HCI in the Science Evaluation System of China is beneficial to the internationalization of Chinese social sciences,art and humanities.Nevertheless,it should be pointed out that it is necessary to make substantial analysis of journals and their literature contents selected by SSCI and A﹠HCI while using the two databases in academic evaluation.
