摘　　要：以加的夫语法为理论框架,运用树形图对介词词组中的非连续现象进行描述,并通过位置概念对这一现象进行阐释。树形图能够准确而简明地反映英语介词词组中的非连续现象,体现了语义为中心原则,是句法描述的有效工具。位置概念解决了领头词的不确定性问题,能够对介词词组中的非连续现象进行合理解释,有利于语言的计算机生成研究。This paper attempts to describe the discontinuity phenomenon in the prepositional group with the tree diagram and analyse this phenomenon under the concept of place based on the Cardiff grammar. The study shows that the tree diagram gives an accurate description of the discontinuity in the prepositional group and is an efficient tool for syntactic description, and the concept of place provides a rational explanation for the phenomenon of discontinuity in the prepositional group and is helpful to the study of computational generation of language.
