摘　　要：《文心雕龙·诏策》:"命之为义,制性之本也。"关于"性"字的解释,文章采取归纳的方法。首先将结论加以悬置,转而讨论刘勰是如何得出此一结论的。通过刘勰得出此结论所可能依据的史料的归纳排比,从而论定当作"制性之本",并进而指出此一说法实揭示了"命"此种文体前后变化的社会根源。The meaning of ＂Xing＂ in The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons has been given several interpretations.Previous studies depend extensively on the deductive method of reasoning,and this paper attempts to use the method of induction and comparing.Through the process of the historical information which Liu Xie used of induction trimness and summary,the conclusion has been drawn that ＂Xing＂ is securely linked to the meaning of ＂surname＂,but entirely unconnected to ＂the authority which defines nature＂.This discrimination reveals the social source for the changing of the stylistic feature of edict and script.
