王云五对图书馆的贡献与启示

摘　　要：王云五一生与书相伴，勤学不辍，与图书馆结下了不解之缘。图书馆的社会教育使他终成大家，他知恩图报，终生不遗余力回报图书馆、回报社会，不仅把涵芬楼改造成对外开放的东方图书馆，而且励精图治，苦心钻研，发明了四角号码检字法与中外图书统一分类法，出版了《万有文库》等一系列丛书并在其晚年创办了云五图书馆，为当时图书馆的有序管理与图书馆教育的平民化立下了汗马功劳。王云五在图书馆实践中的所作贡献，至今给人以深刻的启示与思索。Wang Yunwu was companied by books and never stopped learning all his life, so he was closely tied to the library. He has eventually become a master through social education of the library. He did his utmost to pay back library and the society that he not only transformed Han Fen Lou into opening Eastern library, but also studied painstaking to invent four comer searching method, uniform classification of Chinese and foreign books, published series of books such as ＂Other than the Library＂ and established Yun-wu Library in his later years. All of these contributed significantly to manage orderly and civilian of library education at that time. Wang Yunwu＇s contrubution in the library leaves deep inspiration and thinking for us up till now
