摘　　要：传统观点认为近代银行投资棉花产销合作社是为了博取商业垄断利润。文章对此提出质疑,作者以江苏省农民银行为例,从农业科技推广的角度,分析了该行为合作社提供种子、肥料、农具等各种贷款的动因,认为该行提倡棉花产销合作有其合理性,从实践效果来看,它的确部分达到了目的。因而,传统的观点不适用于评价该行。Many historians say that banks offered loans to cotton producing and selling co-operative societies in order to obtain monopoly profit in 1920＇s and 1930＇s.This opinion is examined in this paper.From the view of agricultural popularization,the author analyzes the purpose of various loans towards seeds,fertilizers,appliances etc.by Jiangsu Agriculture Bank,and thinks that it was reasonable for this bank to promote the co-operation of cotton producing and selling,and it did partly achieve its goal.So,the traditional view is not applicable to this bank.
